The Magnificent Green Sisters – Book Release

September 22, 2018

Book release (22 September 2018): The Magnificent Green Sisters, a novel for children by Patrick Gilmour.

This fantasy adventure, full of warm humor and oddball characters like vain trolls, goblinellas and a many-tongued toad with a crown on his head, contains nonetheless a timely message: that today’s young people are the only real grown ups when it comes to the environment—only they are prepared to do what needs to be done to save us all from disaster.

Set in the cosy but shabby little town of Neverbrook, no one denies the environment is a mess but the adults aren’t doing anything to make it better.

Enter the Magnificent Green Sisters: Tamallia, Francesca and little Anath—three soon-to-be young heroines from one family.

These sisters would like nothing better than to stay home listening to their mom cook up fabulous, food-themed fairy tales like “Snow White and the Seven Chocolate Dwarves”, “Cinderella and her Edible Shoes” and “The Three Little Pigs’ Five-Course Dinner”.

But when a new invasion of polluting pests threatens the very existence of Neverbrook, each sister steps up and sails forth on the waters of Burning Creek, determined to rid their town of its polluters for once and for all.

Readers of every age from eight up will enjoy sailing with the Green sisters through strange lands and challenging encounters. And, who knows, perhaps the extraordinary courage of these three little girls will even inspire some adults to behave in a similar way.
