Who is responsible
This website belongs to Patrick Gilmour. If you have a question about your data, please use the contact page.
Contact form
When you send a message, the website keeps your name, email address and message so I can reply. A copy is emailed to me and to you. The email is sent through Mailgun, an email delivery service. I keep messages only as long as I need them, and I delete them if you ask.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter, your email address is sent to Mailchimp, the service that sends the newsletter. You will get an email asking you to confirm. Every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe, and you can ask me to remove you at any time. The website itself does not keep a copy of your email address.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies it needs to work: one keeps your visit secure when you send a form, and one remembers if you closed the newsletter bar. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no visitor statistics. Fonts are stored on this website, so your browser does not contact Google or other companies to load them.
Server logs
Like most websites, the web server keeps short-term technical logs (for example your IP address and the page you asked for). These are used only to keep the website running and secure.
Links to other websites
Some pages link to other websites, such as book shops. Those websites have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Please get in touch through the contact page.
